Let’s talk about SaaS: Moving past SaaS spreadsheets

The best time to begin your SaaS management strategy was yesterday. The second best time is now. Hear from Josh Mullis, CISSP, VP of Information Security at Productiv on his key tips for SaaS success, including: 

• Visibility being the first step in SaaS management: The foundation of effective SaaS management is gaining comprehensive visibility into your entire vendor portfolio. This includes understanding shadow IT, tracking new application requests, and having a clear picture of your SaaS ecosystem.
• Incremental progress is key: SaaS management is a maturity journey. Organizations shouldn't be discouraged by not achieving a perfect end state immediately. Starting with something as simple as a spreadsheet inventory is better than doing nothing at all.
• Shadow IT Isn't necessarily bad: While shadow IT is framed as a challeng, it's not inherently negative. The goal is to create automated, scalable processes that can accommodate business-led technology adoption while maintaining overall governance.
